MOORE, FREDERICK THOMAS
Born in Meaford on December 20, 1936, a son of the late George and Mildred (nee Stopellben) Moore, Fred passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family at his home in Meaford on Saturday July 11, 2020 at the age of 83. Fred will be remembered for his many years of work with Bell Canada as a respected construction foreman and for his tireless work and support of the Masonic Lodge and with the Scottish Rite in Barrie. Fred is survived by his beloved wife and partner of some 61 years, the former Joan Graham, whom he married on May 16, 1959 and with whom he shared a wonderful marriage raising their family together. He will be remembered as a devoted father and Dad by his children and Grandpa to their children: son Dwayne and his wife Karen of Meaford and children Melissa and her husband Frank Thompson of Omemee and Nathen at home, Meaford; daughter Carolyn and her husband John Watts of Beeton and children Nicole Watts and her husband Julio Malpica of Barrie and Megan Watts, at home, Beeton; and daughter Susan Townsend and her husband Peter of Bradford. Fred will be recalled as a dear brother by Lawrence Moore and his wife Ruth of Dryden and Rosemary and her husband Keith Black of Rockwood. He was predeceased by brothers Lloyd (late Lilian) Moore and Ted Moore and a sister Betty Moore all of Meaford. He will be recalled fondly by his sister-in-law Eunice Moore of Oakville and as a brother-in-law to Muriel (late Ken) Ellis of Meaford and Marilyn Bowman (late Ted Livingstone) of Owen Sound. He was predeceased also by a sister-in-law Aloma Sinclair of Owen Sound. Fred was a very special uncle to his several nieces and nephews and their families. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service officiated by Rev. SallyAnn Longfellow will be conducted at the Ferguson Funeral Home in Meaford.
