One World Festival In Owen Sound

Owen Sound | by Vanessa Culbert

Culture and diversity will be the focus at today's festival in downtown Owen Sound.

The One World Festival is on today in Owen Sound.

It runs from 9:30am until 2:30pm along First Avenue West — between 8th Street West and 9th Street West — with activities in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, the Tom Thomson Art Gallery, and the Owen Sound and North Grey Union Public Library.

Officials say they will be celebrating the rich diversity in Grey and Bruce counties and discover the talents and abilities of those living in the region.

There will be performances by local singers, schoolchildren, drama students, dancers, First Nation drummers, storytellers, musicians, crafts, and puppeteers.

The Humanity bus will be making a stop.

Agencies, cultural, faith and social-justice groups will also be on hand.
