The Saugeen Shores Police Service is currently paying special attention to seatbelts, so make sure you buckle up.
Police say that so far this year 34 motorists who failed to properly wear seatbelt restraints have been killed province-wide.
We're told that most motorists buckle up, however the ones who do not account for almost half of the fatalities on Ontario roads.
Police say that you should be strapped in before you start your vehicle.
They note that as a vehicle operator it is your responsibility to ensure that all passengers under the age of 16 are properly buckled up.
Violators could face up to $240 fine and two demerit points.
The campaign last until October 12th, but police say road safety is a priority all year long.
