Potential Meaford Dragons contestants may want to be at a workshop tonight.
The Meaford Chamber of Commerce is offering a free Business Plan Workshop to potential Dragons event candidates and to the general public.
The contest event itself is modeled after the popular CBC program 'Dragons Den' where business savvy people invest in or mentor a startup or growing business.
But before applicants submit their plans to their local Dragons, this workshop is the opportunity to learn how to do that.
The Chamber says a business plan can help you establish the goals you want to achieve and develop the strategies to attain them as well as hone the ability to anticipate obstacles along the way and overcome them.
They say learning about a business plan allows you to communicate your vision and to help persuade others, like investors and financial institutions.
The workshop is presented by Gillian Fairley, General Manager of the Centre for Business and Economic Development.
The Free workshop will be held at the Meaford Chamber of Commerce at 13 Nelson Street W. in Meaford. On Thursday October 4th at 7 p.m.
