A popular bakery in Williamsford that suffered extensive damage in a fire in the spring won’t be re-opening.
Williamsford Pie Company owners Kim and Sam Caragianakos say in a social media post “it is with tremendous sadness” they will be unable to restore or rebuild the business they’ve operated since 2016.
It has been closed since May 4, when an early morning fire did major damage to the building.
“Costs of goods and labour post Covid are far too high. And even with heroic fund raising efforts, it would not be possible,” the social media post from the Williamsford Pie Company owners says. “We would like to sincerely thank our community for all the support and encouragement you have given us over the past six years.”
