Grey Highlands is awarding an over $223,000 contract for the replacement of a couple of culverts.
Council approved awarding the tender to MacDonnell Excavating Ltd. during a meeting on May 29.
The contract includes replacing two culverts south of Grey Road 4 and installing advisory signage.
A report from Transportation and Public Spaces Coordinator Holly Cullihall says this project will allow the municipality to plan for and improve the alignment and sightlines at a later date if needed.
MacDonnell Excavating was selected after the municipality put out the tender last month and closed mid-May.
Five bids were received with MacDonnell being the least expensive.
The total project cost is $316,586 and falls within the approved budgeted amount of $475,000.
