Hanover police are looking for video footage after an impaired driving arrest.
Police Chief Chris Knoll says they are aware of an online video circulating involving the detention, investigation, & subsequent arrests of an impaired driver and a passenger from a vehicle as it entered the school parking lot of John Diefenbaker Senior School in Hanover.
Knoll says, “This incident happened as students were arriving for school. Those arrested were not students of any school. Police investigators believe several videos may exist from various perspectives detailing the entire interaction & sequence of events.”
He adds, anyone with videos is asked to contact Hanover Police at 519.364.2411.
Knoll says Hanover police have charged a 19-year-old Hanover man with Dangerous Driving, Impaired Driving, Stunt Driving, Open Liquor in Motor Vehicle, and Cannabis in a motor vehicle.
He says further charges against the passenger are pending at this time.
