Changes To Some Services In Owen Sound

Owen Sound | by Bayshore News Staff

City buses now free to ride, no downtown parking enforcement among changes.

Owen Sound is making some changes to its services today as part of the city's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Downtown parking enforcement will no longer be undertaken until further notice, Owen Sound Transit Service is now free for patrons to ride and while bag tags are required for curbside garbage pick-up the city says if you're out of them and place your trash outside on collection day it will be picked up.

Yesterday, the city closed all playground structures at city parks as a precaution.

Meantime, penalty charges for tax and water/wastewater bills, including late notice fees, will not be charged for 45 days.

However, the city says interest will continue to accrue on any unpaid balances.
