Hi, this is Fred Wallace with " Off the Wire ".
Week 14 of the National Football League begins tonight with a rather average matchup in the NFC as the Dallas Cowboys are in Chicago to meet the Bears.
Both teams played last Thursday on US Thanksgiving and came out of it with 6 & 6 records for the season.
For Dallas, that's good for 1st in the NFC East, while Chicago's 6 & 6 mark has them a distant 3rd in the NFC North.
So while there's some lustre to the game tonight, certainly for the Cowboys, it's the matchups on Sunday that have a high degree of appeal for NFL fans.
Without question, the biggest game Sunday is in the NFC where the San Francisco 49'ers visit the New Orleans Saints.
Both teams come into the game with sparkling 10 & 2 records.
In fact, the Saints & 49'ers are 2 of 5 teams sitting at 10 & 2.
Also in the NFC, the Seattle Seahawks who won at home on Monday are the road to meet the Rams in LA; the Rams with a respectable mark of 7 & 5.
Then in the AFC, the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens are both 10 & 2.
The Patriots are at home Sunday against AFC West Champion Kansas City who are 8 & 4.
Meanwhile, the Ravens are on the road, in Buffalo to face the Bills who are having terrific season themselves at 9 & 3.
An average game tonight on Thursday Night Football, but four massive matchups are on the horizon come Sunday in the NFL.
