Lorenzo Bonaiuto has been named the Huron Tractor Player of the Week for the week of March 21-27.
Bonaiuto contributed 2 goals and 2 assists during the Attack’s 3-game sweep of the Sarnia Sting during the week. The rookie winger opened the scoring early in the 3rd period on Tuesday night, as the team’s had skated to a stalemate throughout the first 40 minutes of action. The goal was Bonaiuto’s second of his young career, as he begins to find his stride after returning from an injury he sustained in January.
The Richmond Hill native then assisted on the tying goal Saturday night against Sarnia, before he netted a goal and a helper Sunday afternoon, as the Attack completed the 3 game week sweep of the Sting.
With his four points, Bonaiuto now has 9 points on the season (3G, 6A) and has shown a strong two-way game since returning to the lineup.
