Northern Bruce Peninsula is looking to hear from the community on possible amendments to the Short-Term Accommodation (STA) Licensing Program.
Council approved putting the discussion of reducing the cap of available STA’s in the municipality from 700 to 500 on its engagement website, Let’s Talk NBP, during a meeting on March 25.
This is the latest in the possible amendments coming to the program after council had previously held off on making decisions.
The amendments to the STA licensing program would also expand it into rural and commercial zones. Additionally, the amendment would max out the number of days where people can rent properties in rural zones to 60.
Residents will have a chance to provide their thoughts on the STA program amendments for 30 days before a report is brought back to council.
Anyone who would like to share their thoughts can visit the engagement website here.
